SECONDAmendment to article nine (9) of the constitution of
the State of Minnesota, authorizing the state auditor to levy
an acreage tax on lands which, at the option of the owners
thereof, may have been listed with the county auditor for pro
tection against loss by hail and wind, or either, in this state,
for the purpose of creating an insurance fund agamst damage
to crops by hail storms on such listed lands and to provide for
the manner of handling, and distributing of said fund.
For increasing the gross earnings tax of railroad companies from
four to five per cent, and providing for the payment of the
gross earnings tax semi-annually.

Constitutional Amendments to be voted on by the people
FIRSTAmendment to section sixteen (16) of article nine (9) of
the constitution, establishing the road and bridge fund, and
authorizing the legislature to levy an annual tax for the pur
pose of constructing and improving roads and bridges within
this state.
THIRDAmendment to section six (6) of article eight (8) of the
constitution relating to the investment of school funds and
authorizing the investment and loaning of school funds on im
proved farm land within this state. NO
FOURTHAmendment to section thirty-six (36) of article four (4)
of the constitution, allowing cities and villages in this state to
frame their own city charters and classifying cities. NO
FIFTHAmendment to section 7, article 7, of the constitution of
the State of Minnesota providing for an educational and pro
fessional qualification for county superintendent of schools.
SIXTHAmendment of section 2 of article 4 of the constitution,
relating to the number of members of the senate and house of
representatives and the basis of apportionment thereof.
NOTICE OF TAX SALE
Of Unredeemed Lands in Mille Lacs
County, Minnesota, Under Sec
tions 936, 937 and 938 Revised
Laws of 1905, as Amended by
Chapter 430, General Laws 1907,
and Chapter 30 General Laws
1911.
Pursuant to the provisions of sec
tions 936, 957 and 938 of revised laws
of 1905, as amended by chapter 430,
general laws 1907, and chapter 30,
general laws, 1911, notice is hereby
given that on Monday, the 11th day
of November, 1912, at 10 o'clock in
the forenoon, at the office of the
county auditor in the county court
house at the village of Princeton in
Mille Lacs county, Minnesota, all
tracts or parcels of land situate in
Mille Lacs county, bid in for the
state, and not assigned to purchasers
or redeemed within three years from
the date of the tax sale at which
said parcels were offered and so bid
in hy the state, will be offered at
public sale, and will be sold to the
highest bidder therefor. The cur
rent taxes shall be included in all
cases. N parcel will be sold for a
less sum than the aggregate taxes,
penalties, interests and costs charged
against it unless the cash value
thereof, fairly determined by the
county board and approved by the
Minnesota tax commission, shall be
less than such aggregate, provided,
however, that all parcels bid in for
the state, for the taxes of 1905, or
prior years, and not assigned to pur
chasers, or redeemed as aforesaid,
may be disposed of for one-half of
the total taxes as originally assessed.
Purchasers shall forthwith pay the
amount of their respective bids to
the county treasurer. Said sale will
begin at the time and place named
above and will continue from day to
day until every such tra ct or parcel
shall have been offered for sale, un
der the provisions of said statutes.
The list of said real property, subject
to said sale, and which will be so
offered for sale, unless previously re
deemed, is now on file in the office of

auditor of said state.
Owners, or interested parties may
redeem their property by paying the
full amount due to the county treas
urer at any time before sale, and
within sixty (60) days after proof of
service of the Notice of Expiration
of Redemption has been filed with
the county auditor.
After the notice of Expiration of
Redemption has been served, as pro
vided in section 956, revised laws
1905, the governor is authorized to
issue a deed in the name of the state,
to the person entitled thereto. (See
section 938 R. L.)
