Oilier markets have also beeu crowded, which has caused prices to go Mill lower. We have been thinking that prices had reached the bottom and we would, soon see a stronger market, but each day shows still lower prices. It receipts are lighter we may expect some belter prices, otherwise we see noth ing encouraging in the near future. There is seemingly but a small per cent, of the receipts that can be con sidered choice. Market to-day on Texas and Indian rattle was a little lower on all kinds and grades with but little life in trade. Chicago is glutted and the shippers are not dealing very extensively. Cows shipped out to Chicago yesterday sold there for the same money which w as bid for I hem here, and it had a bad ell'ecton the late mar ket to day. About everything was sold. On Friday the decline was not in cows, so that the close of the week was not so much different as the opening, ex cept that there was a decline to report ou Saturday. Cows sold best, rela tively speaking, every day in the week. The Bteers declined mostly on Thurj- dav, but the Friday market was a lit tle easier, and including Saturday, closing values show a decline of 30 40c below the prices paid on Monday; and the lower end of the steer cattle were within 10c of the lowest days of this year.
