of a stout and plethoric habit, was seised witb a sudden
attack of general dropsy, which In a few days threatened

osoua, and under their use tbe patient was last falling Into
an alarming state. The dropsy was general and extensive,
leg swelled to an enormous sise and the water Increasing
raprdiy He was entirely unable to lie down In bed, and
waa farced to remain night and day ia a sitting posture.
This state of things continued ontil by tbe advice of the
physician alluded to, the present remedy was tried. In
consequence of its peculiar nature it was necessary to pre
pare It with great care, and In order to insure this it was
intrusted to tL family of Mr. Hunt to pit-cure aud com
The remedy was adsoiDistered, and almost from the
momeut of its reception u dv?cided improvement became
aunlfest. Tbe kidneys were Immediately affected and
roused to action ; the swelling of tike legs rapidly subsided,
the longs were freed and returned their healthy and

when unftartunately, prompted by this rapid improvement,
be gave up the remedy for a short time.
It was unfortunate, for tbe curative process was ar
rested, the kidneys flagged. In their action, again tacoai
ing torpid, the water Increased nlita frightful rapidity
and be soon again found himself In very alarming state
The remedy was again bad recourse Js, and by Its perse"
verlng use tbe disease waa a second time subdued. But
this was a most aggravated and severe case, and It took all
tbe virtues of the Remedy, combiued with care and time,
