The special program Is to have all the roads in the stats dragged on that day and to boost the Lincoln way and other roads and routes. As far as Lee county is concerned the date comes a bit late, as the dragging of the roads began very early this vjar and has been done very well to the present time, so that the roads are in prime condllton. —The farmers of this part of the country are becoming somewhat anxious on th» moisture question. Last summer was the dryest for years and the snowfall this winter was nothing to brag about. Some of the much-touted April showers would do a world of good Just now and be more beneficial than bringing May flowers. —A number of people from nearby towns attended the performance ot •September Morn" at the Grand last night. John Bakerbower and a party from Golden drove to Keokuk. That Mr. Bakerbower enjoyed the show was evidenced from the amount of laughter coming from his side of the house.
