OFFICE OF WABDEN OF STATE PRISON, ) Stili/Wateb, Minnesota, December 8,1880. j" Notice Is hereby given that sealed proposals will be received at the office of the Warden of the State Prison, in the city of tUlwater and State of Minne sota, until noon of January 15th, 1881, for a lease of the Prison shops and the vacant ground connected therewith not used by the State and owned by, it, to gether with all engines, boilers, machinery and fix tures in said shops or connected therewith, belong ing to the State, and for the labor of ninety (90) per cent, of all the able bodied male convicts of said Prison, for a term not exceeding nine years, to com mence April Ist, 1881. All bids must state the length of time and the price per year that will be paid for the use of shops, ground and machinery, and the price per day for labor of each convict. a - Ail bidders are required to deposit with the Treas urer of the State of Minnesota, the sum of five thousand dollars, or United States bonds in lieu thereof, as a guarantee of the good faith of the bidders and as security to the Stale that the bidder will, if his bid 13 aocepted, execute the contract and leate as required bylaw, and failing so to do, said sum of live thousand dollars shall be forfeited to the State of Minnesota. successful bidder must give a bond with sureties in the sum of fifty thousand dollars, to be approved by tho Inspectors of said State It 'sou. for the faithful performance of the covenants of the lease and contract on his p&tt.
