Adjourned. , A Roaring Fire, At 10:30 yesterday morning an alarm was turned in from box 42, situated at Eighth and Washington avenues north. The alarm was caused by a workman in S G. Onell'ri wagon shop discovering flames issuing from the roof of the boiler room of T. D. Owner's Steam feed mill on First street near Eighth avenue north iidjotntug his shop. O*ing to the long distance from the water plugs an:i the fact that none of the steamers answer to the -il.irms from that box the mill was* mass of roaring flames before any water was turned on. An alarm was immediately sent out for the two bteamers and they promptly responded. Cataract steamer was stationed at the creek, and in a short time the flunes were under control, but not. before the barn in the roar of the building and the wugon .*hop of Onell was de^tro\ed. Some excitement was caused among the spectators by the cry that the boiler was going to burst. Fortunately, the safety Vii'vc blew off and prevented any such accident. The losses are estimated at $2,200, and there is no insurance. S. G. Onell re moved all the valuable work from his shop, but places his loss at $75. • T.
