father of Mr; C. M Haskew, a
successful business man at Che
raw, passed away on the 7th of
this month.
Mr. H askew was a prominent
citizen in Marlboro County who
stood always for the advance
ment of his people and fostered
every plan to that end. In ^he
loss of Mr. Haskew Marlboro
County has lost a good citizen
and the race one of its strong
advocates forv peace, harmony
