Cowan made a good impression.
The report of the executive board
shooed, among other things, that fuMy

amount of $319.80. After which the
election of officer, resulting in the sus
taining of the same officers in the per
sons cf Rev. H. C. Anderson of An
derdon county, as president; Rev. L.
C. ?Watkins of Belton as vice presi
dent; Rev. J. Floyd Wilson of Wil
liamson, as secretary, and Mrs. J. S. j
Clement of Anderson R. 8, as treasurer.
Rev. H. Watkins, D. D., G. A Bel
ton and M. W. Winston completed the
officers and executive board.
At this session we raised something
over one thousand dollars.
Last year this ?convention contrib
uted over sixteen hundred dollajrs for
educational causes.
On Friday night the educational ser
mon was ably preached by Dr. I O. S.
P. Thompson, pastor of St. PaujL Bap
tist church, Anderson. Dr. Thompson
was at his best and displayeji elo
quence of rare profundity.
The missionary sermon was breach
ed by Rev. S. J. Jones, who, with tack
and earnestness of purpose, delighted
his hearers. The convention,? from I
