should be that one of the oldest and best bestschools
schools in the country for the education educationand educationand
and manual training of the colored peo peopIe peopie
pIe is situated here It had an honorable honorablehistory honorablehistory
history and a useful car career er years before beforeslavery beforeslavery
slavery was abolished It is located on onthe onthe
the corner cornerof of Avery and Nelson streets streetsand streetsand
and was founded by Rev Charles Avery
in 1849 l1r Avery was a faithful and anddiscernhlg anddiscerning
discerning friend of the Negro and his hisheart hisheart
heart yearned to open to the youth of ofthat ofI
