went at her own request In a carriage
hired by herself and was accompanied
by the detectives merely ai a guard
to see that she did not escape or make
i any attempt on her own life

thorough Investigation has been made
Gad the facts as above stated fully
vindicate him
Sergeant Tuite has been a member
of the Newark Police Department for
eleven years and of the detective force
for seven years and Ills record IH as
good as that of any man on the detec
tive force His most recent notable
achievement was tho unearthing with
Detective McConvllle of New York of
the famous note swlnd4tg gang whose
exposure has figured so largely In the
laws for the past several months
