Every imaginable kind of silk is neatly done up
and labelled with the exact amount of yardage,
width, material, price, regular value and descrip
tion just as you see it on the sample label repro
duced here.
Great heaps of packets begin at the Broadway
entrance and reach to the Grand Stairway in the
Silk Rotunda. Arranged in order of their kind
black silks, street silks, evening silks, velvets and
soon that customers may quickly find what they
seek.
Foulard, crepe de chine, charmeuse, brocade,
messaline, pongee, fleur de soie, satin, taffeta, wash
silks and many more.
Great majority in desirable lengths for dresses
and waists. Velvet and fancy silks come as little
as one-eighth, one-quarter and up to two yards and
more for trimmings.
About one-third of the packets are half price.
Earlier prices of two-thirds - 10,000 pieces -were
three, four and five times more than the rate we
have marked on these remnants.
