Electric Starter
Now Standard
Equipment on
Motor Cars
T,
PREN-XRE OH a PEDAT, BTAHTB THE EVOIX*
jr_HERF/has been added to the already exceptionaiiy complet*
equipment of Peerless Motor Cars* the Ghay & Davis Ei*_XTRlC
Starter, a powerful device that will invariabry erank the engine,
spinning it, if necessary, for thirty minutes.
Unusual in its Simplicity
An electric motor of special eonstruction and exceptional effiaency w
properly mounted to rotate the engine fly-wheel. Current is supphed
by the 120 ampere hour storage battery kept charpd by the dynamo
of the lighting system. There are no complicated electrieal com^rob
? only a simple switch.
It is Always Dependable
The device will spin the largest motor until. under the mo#>t adverw
conditions, it will operate under its own power.
Cold weather cannot make it fail.
It will start the car with clutch tel and high gear engaged. ln tetU
by Peerless engineers a "48-Six" has been propelled by it for half a mile
without an exploaion in the cylinders. It then atarted the engine
over a hundred times and stfll had apparently unhmited power left.
