a portion of the 000,000 Cape gold due to

The local banks again lost rather heavily
on re.-jular Sub-Trcnsury operations and
in addition transferred 1400,000 more to
San Francisco. The domestic exchange
market both at San Francisco and other
Interior points has lately been Inclined to
move slightly against this centre. Call
money yesterday was unchanged, the re
newal rate being maintained firmly at
per cent. The time money market was
extremely dull, There was little demand
for accommodation and lenders' found It
dlfllctilt to put out funds at prevailing rates
which were unchanged,
Money on call on the floor of the Stock
