president of the Mechanics and Metals
National Hank, now nt 33 Wall street,
that the bank Is the purchaser of the
property at CO Wall street, speculation
remes to an end concernlnK the name
of the buyer who signed contracts for
the purchase more than n year ago
and whose Identity has been a matter
of crcat Interest over since tho sale was

solidated Gas Company now owns a
fronlaKe of 206 feet on the south side
I of Fifteenth street, beginning at the
corner of Irving place and extending

been prepared by II, J. Hurdenbergh
this entire property Is lo be covered by
an eighteen story otllco building. The
structure which the company erected
recently adjoining the Irving place cor
ner will be incorporated In the new
building, the whole structure to provide

ture theatre to bo constructed on the west
side of Prospect avenue, north of 167th
street, for ten years at an aggregate ren
tal of $21,000.
BROOKLYN AMUSEMENT HALL.
Sydney S. Cohen has leased for Thomas
A. Clarke to the Social Centres Corpora
tion a plot 146x200, on the south side of
Halsey street, near Broadway, udjolnlng
the new Halsey Theatre, Brooklyn, on
which Mr. Clarke will erect a one story
building, which will bo another of his
chain of amusement halls to be opened
