Tha Bankers Trust Company has en
larged Its quarters In Its building At 14
Wall street, making the space equiva
lent to two entire floors of the building.
Extensive alterations have been com
pleted and the transfer nnd registration
departments hnve been moved from the
first floor to the basement The tellers
will occupy the space on the first floor
thus made vacant, while the reorganisa
tion and trust departments on the first
and second floors respectively will have
greatly Increased space.
One of the several large vaults In the
basement haa been tnken apart plate by
plate and stored away for further use
when occasion requires. This fa the
third time that this vault has been re
moved. It was originally erected for
the Manhattan Trust Company In 1890
arid has since been pronounced by en
gineers to be In perfect condition and
equal In strength to any vault of similar
slse that could be constructed.
