The jVsriifrner left here last night for-Louis-
ville.
The Korik Star leaves this evening for White
river.
The Simondi leaves for New Orleans to-morrow
night at 8 o'clock. She Is a noble boat
for traveling on.
The farorite White river boat EraittlUt,
(with the popular clerk Thomaseon,) was ex
pected last night. She leaves again to-morrow
night at S o'clock.
At Cincinnati, on Thursday, but little was
doing on the boats ; no particular change on
the river.
At Pittsburgh, on the 27th, the water stood
fire feet eight inches and rising.
At Louisville, on the 30tb, says the Journal:
" The river hss fallen about four inches in
the twentv-four hoars ending last evening, leav
ing five feet three laches water in the canal."
The Evansville Enqvirtr says they have
plenty of water but such is the state of busi
ness that our business agents are in despair,
and the boatmen, we verily believe, are cos
templating suicide.
The Paducah Herald, of Thursday, remarks:
"The rivers are in a fine boating stage, and
some of our largest steamers are now coming j
down from Louisville wim rair ireients. me
Tennessee bas also risen rapidly in the last two
days, and there is now water enough for all
practicable purposes."
The New Orleans Dtlta, of Tuesday last,
says:
' Our levee looks more like the month of
Acrust than the last of October, from the large
number of boats iricg idle at the wharf and at
Algiers."
At Little Bock, says the Democrat, of the
27th:
"During the "past week the steamers S. H.
Ttukrr and DardanelU are the only boats
which have been at our laadteg. River falling,
with water enough for smell boita to Napo
leon." The St. Louis Republican, of the 30th, says:
"The river at this point is stationary, with
six feet In the chanael to Cairo. We have no
cnange to report in trie condition of any of we
upper rivers. They are all reported f alhos ex-
eepting the Illinois, which is stationary at
present."
