New York, March 80.George H. Story, cura
tor of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, who has
charge of the paintings, says that be places no
credence in a report that J. P. Morgan has been
induced to purchase spurious Spanish tapestries.
''Mr. Morgan," said Jie, 'is one of the best
judges of art works in this country, and in ad

with regard to his purchases. As a matter Of
fact,' there is nrt such thlfljr as 'fake tapestry.'
Not even a person of little experience can be
duped into buying bogus tapestries. Ttaefa are
old tapestries and new ones, but all are tapes
