The International kindergarten union has sent 'out announcements of its annual meeting which will be held In Rochester, N. Y., April 27 to 29. The union is really a federation of seventy kindergarten as sociations In the United States and Canada and has an organization of over 7.000 members with Miss Annie Laws of Cin cinnati, Ohio, as president and Miss Stella L. Wood of Minneapolis, corresponding secretary and treasurer. The railroads have made a reduoed rate and It Is ex pected a large number of klndergartners and those Interested In the work will be present as the program will include talks by many noted educators. Sunshine Headquarters. The Sunshine society of Minnesota opened headquarters In the Minnesota Loan and Trust building Saturday and an informal reception in the afternoon cele-r brated the event. The guests were re ceived by Mrs. Theodore Haynes, etate president Mrs. Charles T. Bergen and Mrs. William C. Tubbs, vice presidents. The decorations were In the society col ors, white and yellow and a large number of people called to inspect the new quart ers and offer their congratulations on the growth of the society. The rooms will be open dally from 9 a. m. until 6 p. m., and the work of the state will center around the group of workers to be found there. Insurance for Teachers. Wallace G. Nye spoke before the Teach ers' club at Its regular meeting Saturday afternoon in the Y. W. C. A. building, on the plan for the auditorium and the fol lowing resolutions were passed hy the club: Resolved, That the Minneapolis Teach ers' club do express its loyalty to the city's welfare by setting aside $300 each year for two years, to be used In buying Insurance from the Northwestern Nat ional Insurance company, to assist in the carrying out of the proposed plan to se cure a music hall. Resolved, That during the two years In which the club carries the premiums, the club shall be the beneficiary. Resolved, That the first ten members to apply for this insurance shall be the mem bers to receive the benefits. Y. W. C. A. Exhibition. The work of, the Young Woman's Chris tian association will be shown to-morrow when the annual exhibition will be held by the different departments.
