i I FOOTBALL GIRLS WILL PLAY AGAIN Their Friend, the Clergyman, Says the Game They Put Up Is Great. Journal Special Service. Norwalk, Conn., Nov. 24.Elated by their victoiy over the boys at football, the girls of Mis. Mead's Hillside semi naiy will play a second game Monday with their younger biothers and friends, the boys of Centei high school and the Oveilook military semmaiy. The girls are between 1-t and 16 yeais old, daugh teis of Norwalk's prominent families, and most of them are day pupils at Mrs. Mead's seminary The game of the other day has been frowned on by the seminary teachers, but the girls have found a champion in Kev. George D. Egbert, pastor of the First Congregational chuich. He saw the first game and is backing the girls in the coming contest, to which he pur poses taking their mothers. ''Immodest? Unladylike? Bosh!" ex claimed Mr. Egbeit today. "That game was the acme of modern individuality as brought about by the teachers and the gymnasium work of the modern semi nary for girls. There was nothing silly or weakly feminine about it. I see nothing wrong such sports. It was good, healthy play, and showed what girls can do. I should rather see such a game as that than one between Yale and Prince ton. Remember that the girls are young and full of life, an'd they were playing in pwvate against their brothers and youthful friends The parents of many of them were there and they enjoyed the play as much as I did.
