Sand Point, Idaho, June 1.Blood- hounds were used the search for N. S. Artman, a former Butte man, who disappeared while on a hunting trip in the mountains a few miles from Troy. Harry Draper, who owns two valua ble hounds, passed thru here yester day for his home in Spokane, having abandoned his efforts to find the miss ing man. The dogs followed Artman's footprints to a river where it is sup posed he was drowned. Artman started on a hunting trip, taking his gun and some provisions. He failed to return in a reasonable time and search was made for him. This being unavailing, Draper's blood hounds were called into requisition. The hounds found his trail and fol lowed it to the Yokt river where it empties into the Kootenai. The foot prints seemed to enter the river at this point and the theory is that Art man was drowned. It is believed he became deranged and committed suicide by drowning. Minneapolis & St. Louis Railroad. Special Excursions.
