concluding with a banquet at the Com-
mcreial club Saturday evening by Man-

hereinafter described on First South
street between Second Fast and Thir
teenth East Htrcets, In Paving District
No. 27. for the purpose of providing for
the grading, guttering and curbing, and
paving thereof.
Bo It ordained by tho City Council ot
Salt Lake City. Utah:
Section 3. That the City Council docs
hereby levy the tax and provide for the
assessment of the same upon the property
hereinafter described, In Paving District
No. 27, for tho purpose of providing for
tho grading, guttering and curbing, and
paving of a portion of said district, ty
wit:
In.lots 1 and 2, block G2; 1. 2. 3 and 4,
gblock 59; 1 and 2, block 58; and 5. G, 7 and
S, block 55. all In plat B. abutting on the
north side of First South street between
Fourth East and Fifth East streets, and
between Seventh East and Ninth East

This tax Is levied to defray tho expense J
of grading, guttering and curbing with ce
ment, and paving with Utah asphalt (said

described to be especially affected and

Section 2. Said .tux shall become and
bo delinquent In ten equal installments,
as follows, to wit: One-tenth thereof one
year after the approval of -theprdlnanco
continuing tho levy of the Uui for the
payment for such improvement; pnc-tenlh
thereof .in two years after such approval;
one-tenth thereof in three years after
such approval; one-tenth thereof, In four
years after such approva:; one-tenth
thereof in Jlvo years after such approval;
one-tenth' thereof in six years after such
approal; one-tenth thereof In aeven
years after such approval; one-tenth
thereof in eight years after such approv
al; one-tenth thereof in nlno years after
such' approval, and one-tenth thereof In
ten yeurs after such approval. One or
more of said Installments or the whole
"tax may be paid on or before ten days
after the approval of the ordinance con
tinuing tho levy of the tax. One or moro
installments or tho whole special tax may
be paid on the day any installment be
comes due by paying the amount thereof
and interest to date of payment. Each of
said Installments shall boar interest at
tho rate of (6) per cent per annum from
the dale of the approval of the ordinance
confirming llio levy of said tax until the
date of delinquency, and eight (S) per
cent per annum from delinquency until
paid.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take ef
fect upon approval.

City. Utah. September 29. 190S, and re
ferred to the Mayor for his approval.
