Victory Will Depend Upon Industry, Persist;

contestant has already answered this
question. It most certainly Is.
The price which must be paid for suc
cess Is Industrlousness. persistency, snd
determination They sound like small
things, but they are the sreat J forces
which make all success In this world. The
contestant who really wantsto win and
Is willing to pay the price will have : no
trouble In being among the victorious.
First he must become enthusiastic over
the proposition. He must become ab
sorbed In the competition. He must be
come determined to win. snd must back
up the determination by honest effort.
He must plan extensively for the cam
paign. He must devise method of ob

advertisements. In other words, nemnsi
be Industrious. He roust visit his friends
and people whom he would like to be his
friends He must give them lists of the
advertising merchants and manufactur

establishments ind products and save the
votes for him. He must make all of

In the contest, and must buy only those
manufactured products good for votes at
The Herald office.
Then this contestant wno wouia lire to
succeed must be persistent. He must not
let his Interest wane. His enthusiasm
must Increase every day. He must talk
contest to his relatives and his friends.
He must think of votes before breakfast,
during the day. and after supper. He
must plug away persistently toward the
bright goal In the distance.
And the person who iohows this for
mula will certainly be a winner. Here Is
the programme In brief:
Be determined. De industrious, be per
sistent, become acquainted with the ad
tertlsers and their advertisements: pat
ronize these merchants and manufactur
ers exclusively; distribute advertising lists
among your friends, with the request
that they patronise the merchants and
