CORNELL SCRUBS WIN.
Defeat Varsity, 28 to 7, and Report
to Training; Table.
Ithaca. N. T.. Oct. 22. The Cornell
varsity team was no match for the
scrubs In to-day's scrimmage, which
lasted for two hours, and after the sec
ond team had trimmed the arslty by
the score of 28 to 7 In a regular game.
Coach Sharpe was so tickled with their
work that he took the whole outfit to
the tarslty training table. The team
scrimmaged until they were worn out,
and the scrubs worked the line and cir
cled Nash at end for big gains. The
work of Rees at end. Smith at quarter
back. Hill at full back, and Phllippl at
left half featured the plalng of the
scrubs.
The return of Capt Eddie Butler,
who has been out of the game for four
weeks because of Injuries sustained In
the Colgate game, was the most encour
aging feature of the practice to-day.
The captain will probably get In the
game Saturday.
