newest society dance, which was intro
duced here by Hiss Elenora Sears at a
party given at the Copley Plaza Hotel on
Saturday night, is described as follows:

The new dance Is said to hare made a

Sacred Heart Pariah Fete Attracts

A large crowd attended the bazaar be
ing- conducted by the congregation of the
Sscred Heart parish In National Rltlea
Armory last night, and It waa ssld that
1.500 had been served at luncheon. The
fair started yesterday and will continue
until November IS. with the exception of
ssturday. November .
Th hour are from TM o'clock to 11 In
the evening, aud luncheoii la served from
12 to 2 o'clock. The fair Is held for the
purpose of raising a fund to build a new
shrine of the Sacred Heart, which, for
the last thirteen jears. has been located
at Fourteenth Street and Park Road
Northwest.

Board of Edacatlon Does Jfot Flaw

Rumors that the Board of Education
waa considering the abolishment of foot
ball In the schools if any more accidents
occurred were emphatically denied yes
terday by Assistant Superintendent of
Schools Thurston.
He stated that be had heard nobody
discuss the matter officially, and believed
the general opinion among- the members
of the board Is that as long aa tbe game
la conducted properly It has no right to
step In snd prohibit it.
Few serious accidents have occorred
this season. Several players have been
forced to retire from the game for
time, but none of them have been badly
hurt. Unless something happens to put
the game In a bad light. Mr. Thurston
does nor think that the board will Inter
fere.

OYSTER BEP0KT ALMOST BEADY.
Findings of Government Baeterlolo-
alsts to Be Made Paallc on.
Whether the oysters In the Po
tomac are fit for food or not will be
determined by chemists and bacteriolo
gists of the Department of Agriculture
to-day. According to the Bureau of
Chemistry, the results of the gotern
ment's end of the Investigation will be
completed to-day. but will not be made
public until the results obtained by
ehemlsts and bacteriologists, who con
ducted the Investigation In the Interest
of Virginia and Maryland, also are made
known.
Virginia and Maryland oystermen con
tended that the results obtained on the
first examination by the Department of
Agriculture did not truly represent the
conditions of the river water and oysters.
Upon their protests the Investigation was
reopeneo. and a commission of experts
