season by the Young; Women's Chris
tian Association in the movement which
has for Its end the construction of a
Breat woman's building In the National
Capital. The funds which have been
paid Into the association, and the other
funds which are comlns. are the re
sult of the bis ten-Jay campaign which
was conducted by the Y VT. C. A. last
May. At that time a total of JliOOO was
subscribed to pay for the site which the
association purchased at Thirteenth and
I Streets Northwest. Of this amount
a total of $84,000 has already been re
ceived. The latest subscription of all to come
in was that of Miss Grace II. Dodge, of
New York, national president of the Y.

Plans and specifications for the new
$300,000 AH Souls' Unitarian Church, to be
erected In Sixteenth Street Northwest,
near S Street, have been entirely com
pleted by Donn & Deralns; the architects
of the proposed new edlflcel and they
will submit them at once to the various
contractors for bids. One month's time
will be allowed the contractors in which
to submit their bids.
Donn & Dealing's plans call for the
largest and handsomest church In "Wash
ington. The architecture of the proposed
edifice Is entirely distinctive, and It will,
when completed, rival In granduer and
beauty the magnificent Scottish Rite
Cathedral, which Is adjacent to it. The
building will be constructed of Indiana
limestone or of West Virginia sandstone.

the awarding of the contract, and the
work pushed so that the corner stone can
