George H. Kubltn, chief engineer
of the Moon Motor Car Company,
has prepared a list of questions for

of questions, the answers to
which every automobile owner
should know. Mr. Kublln says: "If
you are the owner of a motor car
and cannot answer the"" questions
listed below. It will pay you to *et
the information, as. in all probability,
knowing the answers will save
you a groat deal of annoyance, time
and money." The questions follow:
Number of points of lubrication
on your car?
Give at least three reasons for

The present tendency, h"

for ft^acoast defense. The elimination
of the horse, the perfection of
the gas engine and th# development
of the automobile are important
factors In American artillery progresft.
Ma]. Jenks declared.
The American Society of Mechanical
Engineers, as a further step fn
its gene ral policy of co-op' rating
with government agencies- in engineering

Jenks says in analyzing the state
of Artillery material before the war
and the effect of the war upon It.
both here and abroad. "It had
merely a handful of material and
practically no facilities to produceIt.
Our allies not only furnished us
material, but gave us their d^Mgns
and detail drawings and their design
and production engineers to
assist us In organising production.
Most of our own engineering t.iient
