THE SUB Jim scriber off ers for sale a peculiar kind of Corn known as the Canada prolific Corn, which excels any grain ever be fore offered to the Southern Planters, both for beauty and increase. It is a handsome white corn, and produces from three to eight stalks from each grain, each stalk bearing two to three ears of Corn and the suckers arc as prolific as the original stalk, bearing an equal number of ears. I procured a small quantity of this corn through the mail, aud planted nine grains in a common sandy garden, that had never received any other manure than from the stable and barn yard, and the result was eighty-six silks and fifty-eight ears! Had not the drought come upon it at the time it did, several other ears would have matured. I will scud packages of one hundred grains each, post- Faid, for one dollar, to any one remitting me that sum ; and feci confident no man who invests this small sum for this Corn will regret the experiment. This is not the "Sucker Com," that shoots at every joint this species is as late as the common Indian corn and will grow as tall. JUST PUBLISHED, THE OLD BREWERY, and the New Mission at the five Points, By the Ladies of the Mission. The Publishers take pleasure in inviting the attention of the moral world to this charming production as one of the most remarkable ever offered to the public ; and they confidently present it as one of the most touching and i mpressive volumes which have fallen from the press since the first issue of Mr. Warren's " Diary of a Physician." The papers composing this work are not mere fancy sketches, written for the purpose of a simple commercial speculation, but the writteu histories of fallen ones who hai e been missed; of lost ones who have been reclaimed ; of Idleness which has been led to Indus try ; of Drunkenness which has thrown away the Cup-; of Poverty which has put on' the garb of Comfort; of Des- Eair which has begun again to Hope ; of Ignorance which as crept out of Darkness up to Light ; and of Sinful Weak ness which has thrown off Falsehood, Crime and Shame, and now walks firmly forth in all a Christian's stre gth. The volume overflows with incidents which are real; with pictures drawn, not from fancy, but from life the whole invested with a freshness which can only come from the vital fount of truth. As a whole the publishers present it as one of the truthfulest mirrors of human weakness, infir mity and suffering, and of the most sublime and self-sacri-cing Christian faithfulness and heroism ever offered to the public.
