IT IS PROPOSED TO PUBLISH IX THE TOWN OF Franklinton. a newspaper of medium size, on good pa ner with new types, to be devoted mainly to the interest of Franklin county, and tbe Counties composing the 4th romrressional District. In politics the paper wil be a SnSnrte? of the present Administration. But, it is not intended to make the paper a vehicle through i which .uny JJortion of our fellow-citixeiis shall meet wilh insulting epithets, however much they may differ with the Editor in nolitics. Moral suasion argument, and friendly warnings ire the weapons to be used in political discussions. The paper will be published at $2 per annum, invariably navablein advance ; and, as it is desirous to commence the enterprise forthwith, those who feel an interest therein are urgently solicited to use their best exertions in piocunng the requisite number of subscribers (400) to warrant the undertaking. 'It contains seventeen hundred acres of land, five hundred lying on the River, that produces well; uplands well timbered; good dwelling and out houses, with substantial Mills recently built, at a cost of tV'oO; Flouring Mills complete, with Grist Mill, Corn Crusher and Gin, and a Circular Saw Mill on the opposite side of the stream. This is the most eligible site in the Eastern part of North-Carolina for a Cotton Factory. The stream affords a sufficiency of water to carry a Cotton Factory of any size, with 'uw and Grist Mills attached. This Old Weldon Hotel has been open fo-- two monthsand bus not had a crowd but once since, but it is now increas ing fast in popular favor, as passengers find that the meals suit them and ure always ready on the table when the trains arrive from uny point.
