A New Li< kxsk ? Last ni^'lit, two young
men. Nathan V. Cook and R. A S'eadmari,
went to the house of Susie 4Jrevling. on l'Jth
stree', and after calling for wine refused to pay
for a portion they had used. Susie Crevling
appeared as a witness, and testified that she
sold the wine, having a license lrom the Corpo
ration to tell wine J he accused parties became
disorderly, and busie sent for the police, aud
had theni taken to the station-house, Second
Ward. The accused are both soldiers. Justice
Miller /ined each ?3. and turned them over to
the military. The justice then turned to Susie
and ordered her to pay lor selling liquor to
soldiers The iustice then sent for the license
which Susie Orevling said she had, and it
lurned out to be an internal revenue license,
apparently regularly made out and signed.
The justice decided that it was not a license
recognized bv law, and fined Susie Crevling
*?20 lor selling liquor without license from the
Corporation. Roundsman Franklin, who made
the arrests, and other policemen say that a
majority of honses similar to Crevliug s, in the
same locality, have internal revenue licenses.

these "bounty-bugs" being bronght away un

oyer thirty years, and has always proved a success
i'r. Hand's is exhibited in the form of
pills, made up ?Mi'irdy of substances that have a
specific effect tipnu the generative organs. Most
persons associate the idea of operations upon the
bowels from taking any kind of pills. The Specific
of Dr. Baud is uot intended as ao evacuating merti
<ine. Its medical virtues are expended entirely
upon the impaired generative organs. The pills
are not unpleasant to the taste, and many persons
masticate them with impunity before swallowing
them; which plan we would always recommend,as
affording the speediest way to get the effect of the
remedy.
