No. 6, Ohio Mine Workers; John

dent; George W. Savage of Co
lumbus, secretary-treasurer, and
!A. R. Watkins, Yorkville, inter
national hoard member at the
opening of 'the 23rd' annual con
vention of the-Ohio miners in this
city today. The referendum
election was held Dec. 13.

miners' organization $4,284 a
month,. according- to the report of

TEN-HOUR LAW EFFECT
Edgar" T.-Davies; chief inspec
tor, has issued a statement show
ing that the State street depart
ment stores, in carrying out the
ten-hour law during the holiday
season, went to theloss of $15,000
daily, it being-necessary to hire
10,000" additional persons. This
shows how much the ten-hour
law is really .needed..
