Miss Elsie Leue.
Columbus, O., Feb. 3. To the
end that hundreds of thousands
of lives may be saved in India,
where famine lays desolate whole
villages every year, Miss Elsie
Leue, a senior student in the col
lege of agriculture at the Ohio
State university, will become the
first farm missionary to the land
of the Hindoos.
Miss Leue is a Cincinnati girl,
and has made a thorough study
of scientific farming, which she in
turn expects to teach to the farm
ers of India, that they may in
future years raise crops large
enough to feed the people.
While teaching "farming she
will also teach Christianity to the
heathen in and around Punjab,
India.
A West Virginia man took shoe
buttons instead of pills. He says
the effect was no worse than that
experienced from the pills.
