the story told today by Represen
tative Lindbergh, (Rep., Minn.)
According to Lindbergh, when
the agitation against the Money
Trust first was agitated, Wall
street's lobbyists began flocking
V to Washington and buttonholing
such of our progressive "states
men" as were talking too loud.
' Lindbergh ought to know, he
being progressive himself, and
the author of one of the resolu
tions calling for an investigation
of the Money Trust

Street men got after him as soon
as 'the contents of his resolution
became known. The lobbyists f
wanted to know if Lindbergh re
alized the responsibility that lay,
on his shoulders.
Lindbergh told the 'lobbyist
that he did the responsibility,
as he looked at it, being due to the
people, and not to Big Business.
