It took the jury in the packers'
case 18 hours to decide that the
men whom it took the govern
ment 10 long, weary years to
bring before the bar" of justice,
were' innocent, of criminal re
straint of trade.
The jury passed about 10 of the
18 hours in sleep. The verdict
vwas brought in at 12:15 today.
, AlJof the packers except Ar
thur Meeker were in court when
the jury returned its verdict.
Well, anyhow, the people know
the beef trust is guilty,' even if
that jury didn't.
There are many advantages, in
being a multi-millionaire. One
of them is that its mighty hard to
be'guilty of a crime if you're rich.
