Miss Mayme Lockhart.
Miss- Mayme Lockhart, the
youngest woman detective in the
world, is a'member of the Spo
kane police force.
' Miss Lockhart has admitted
'(after a severe "Third Degree"
grilling) that' she has seen but 20
summers. Brother "dicks" not
only claim thakshe is the young
est lady sleuth, but the best look
ing sas well.
Miss Lockhart is private secre
tary to Commissioner of Public
Safety Hayden. A shorLtime ago
she was also assigned duties in
the office of the chief clerk of the
detective department. One of the
regulations requires that any per--son
handling this sort of work be
a city detective.
According the girl was hailed
before the Chief of Detectives,
