Medical men in the northvvest
are deeply interested in Dr Linda
Burfield, Ha?ard, "fasting spe
cialist," who has undertaken a 30-
day " indication' rcast at Seattle.
' Dr. Hazzard is under peniten
tiary sentence for the manslaugh
ter of a wealthy patient, Miss
Claire Williamson, who died
while taking her fasting" treat
The prosecution 'charged that
she starved the patient to death
to get possession of her fortune.
Medical experts gave the opin
ion that a person in health would
die of starvation after 14 days, if
deprived of food.
Dr Hazzard, outon bond pend
ing the hearing of a motion for a
new trial, took up. the challenge.
"I will last 30 days,," she de
clared "If the doctors are right,
