WESTSIDE SALOONS HAVE
LICENSES REVOKED
Although Mayor Harrison an
nounced with great bluster a few
weeks ago that the "lid" was
down tight and that both he and
McWeeny,' with their combined
official "bulk, wef e sitting on it, it
was mecessary to revoke the li
censes of 3 West Side saloons
yesterday in the district that
"King- Barney" Grogan rules
with an iron hand,
The places, owners and charges
which led to the revocation, of
their licenses followr Bon Ton
saloon, 120 So. Halsted, operated
by Howard and Monahan; dis
respected police orders concern
ing operation of concert hall J 6
women and 7 men arrested in r&itf
May 4. '

license in name of Thomas Jen
nings; violated 1 o'clock closing"
order and allowed disorderly
women to frequent place, ,

not be renewed because of rob
bery in saloon reported by Capt.
J. J. Mahoney.
It has also been reportejd to
Schuettler, that Jim O'Leary is
running a hand-book out in his
stock-yards saloon as openjy as
though it were, quite within the
law.
