When Teddy Roosevelt was
governor of New York he visited
Cornell University. He was "en
tertained at one of the fraternity
houses. As he was about to leave
oneof his staff said:
'Governor, the boys have the
foundation of a capital library
and I think they'd appreciate a
copy of your 'Rough Riders'."
"All right, boys," said'the gov
ernor heartily, "I'll be glad to
send you a copy with my compli
