At top is model of JMacload, multiplane, now being built on
Staten Island; lower picture shows the size of the wheels forming
the ''body" of the multiplane.
The Huge air machine is being designed for, oversea traffic. It
is .hoped it will carry 8 passengers each trip across the Atlantic
It has 18 wings, 3 sets of 3 each. The wihgs are both concave and
convex. Each is a parachute in itself.
The upper wings are 32 feet from tip to tip, 6 feet -wide. A'
hollow spar running through the body, will contain-nine tanks of
gasoline. Two motors, each 125 horse. power, and four propellors,
each with three blades, will be used. The inventor expects to make
the first flight in August.
