FOOTBALL SIMPLIFIED BY NEW RULES
The changes are few, the ef
fect important the 'spectator
will get a better idea of the game.
The actual changes are:-
A field of 100 yards, instead of
110, the extra 10 yards used as
end Ozones, back of each goal,
where forward 'passes may be re
ceived. The addition of a-fourth down
to gain 10 yards.
The kick-off from the 40-yard
line. -
- On kick-outs opponents will
line tip on the 20-yard line instead
of the 25:
Intermissions between first
and second and third and fourth
periods reduced to one minute.
Forward passes -may be" of any
length.
The onsidekick has been dis
carded. -'
The rules do away With the
checkerboard field, and it is agairt -a
