The school children of San
Francisco 'are in active campaign
to induce the city dads of Phil
adelphia to send the Liberty Bell
to San Francisqcufor the, Panama
Pacific exposition in 1915.

and will soon be'sent to' the mayor
and city council of "the Quaker
Mayor Jas. Rolph took an active
part on "Liberty vBelI day." This5
picture shows hihi watching the
signing of petitions.
"I cannot see," says Rolph,
"how the officials of Philadelphia
can deny the appeal of' the school
children of this city, particularly
since the bell was exhibited at the
Chicago exposition in 1893."
In England' and Walds there
are forty special schools for the
Jbhnd, fifty-one for deaf and 245
for defective 'children.
