loping than Flynn. He is not as
clever as the Pueblo fireman, bnt
has a heftier punch.
Al showed Instability to take
punishment when he fought Bom
bardier Wells, the English cham
pion, in New York. In the first
round Wells slipped over a cou
ple of man-sized clouts, and Pal
zer struck the floor twice. The
fight looked all Wells. When
they came up for the gong in the
second Palzer forced the fighting,
and knocked Wells to the canvas
twice in quick succession. Pal
zer continued to smash the
Briton, and after a hard swing the
-o
only thing that interested the En
glishman was the next boat home.
He was knocked cold. And Wells
is one of the best men in the game
at present. If he carried twenty
pounds more weight he could lick
any of our own crop of heavies.
Palzer is a good fighter. There
is danger, however, that he is be
ing forced too much, and is not
as clever as he should be to en
gage in a battle for the title. Mc- -Car
ty will have the disadvantage
df the weight of a Heavier man on
him every time they clinch. Pal- .
zer will weigh 225 pounds, and1
carry it. We pick Palzer of Iowa.

London, Dec. 14. The young
fellow who is tagged as the next
king of England has at last come
out into the spotlight where the
English folks can look him over.
He has left the palacej where
royal apron strings bound him,
and entered Oxford university.
He likes his new experience,,
too. Every Oxford boy is entitled
to spend tme day a week at home,
but, during the first-two months
of his stay at school the young
prince asked for no leave of ab
sence. The first thing you discover
about young Albert Christian
George Andrew Patrick David
Wettin (that's the real name of
the Prince of Wales) is that he
will probably be' an even smaller
man than the present king. At"
18 he weighs about 112 pounds
and is a scant five feet in height.
