ARCHBALD KICKED OFF
FEDERAL BENCH
Washington, Jan. 13. Robert
YY. Archbald, judge of the Com
merce Court, was today kicked
oft the federal bench by a vote of
68 to 5 in the United States sen
ate. Archbald was found not guilty
on most of the other thirteen
counts in the impeachment. But
one was enough. That alone
kicked him from the bench.
The original charges against
Archbald were founded on cer
tain deals he had with the Erie
railroad. The charge was that
Archbald used his position a a
judge in order to forward these
business deals and make an un
due profit.
