The Democratic county organ
ization yesterday sent out thou
sands of letters urging true Dem
ocrats to free the party from the
grip of Hearst and Andy Law
rence. "After making every possible
effort for peace among the local
Democrats," reads part of the
letter, "we find a small fraction
of the local Democracy, while
personally well disposed, cannot
join an effort for harmony be
cause Hearst won't let them.
"Therefore it becomes our duty
to take action, and it was taken
at a meeting of the managing
committee of the Democratic
party of Cook county, held at the
