Baltimore, Md., Feb. 25. The
suffragette army lost one of its
"soldiers" today when Mrs. W.
T. Williams of Lebanon. Pa., re
ceived a furlough from Gen. Ros
alie Jones to go home and see one
of her children, sick with measles.
"Never shall it be said that we
suffragettes are callous to the call
of the home," said Gen. Jones,
when granting the furlough.
"Your response to the call of
your child -will not be lost on the
enemies of our cause."
Refreshed by a two-day rest,
the army is prepared to move on
Washington tomorrow. Gen.
Jones and "Col. Ida Craft, with
their arms around each other, de
nied there had been a disagree
ment over the route to be taken.
Skirts must be worn tighter,
says Fashion. Lord! they're go
ing to knead 'em and bake 'em on !
