Resentment' against the Hearst-Simon O'Donnelltradas union edition
deal has spread .from Chicago to the whole country and has been brought
officially to the attention of the' American Federtaion of Labor, President
Samuel, Gompers, Secretary Frank Morrison and all of the international'
Many of the international officers have pledged their support to the
fight by union labor against the so-called trades union edition of Hearst's
Chicago Examiner and have taken action either through" communications
to their unions in Chicago or by way of protest to Simon O'Donnell and the
Chicago Building Trades Council.
Among those reported to The Day Book who have so far taken action
are the following international, officials:
