LARGE QUANTITY OF ARSENIM
FOUND IN DE LATOUR BODY
Enough arsenic has been found in
the stomach of Jan de Latour, who
died suddenly in his home, to have
caused the death of half a dozen per
sons. The examination' of the stomach
was made by Coroner's Chemist W.
D. McNally. McNally will complete
a quantitative analysis.
Mrs. Wanda de Latour, widow of
the dead man, was arrested several
days after a verdict of suicide had
been returned by a coroner's jury.
She now is at liberty under $5,000
De Latour, who Is said to have
been an Austrian nobleman, accused
his wife of trying to poison him a few
days before his death in a letter to
Max Kaszmarek of the Polish Na
Kaszmarek demanded a full in
quiry after the coorner's jury had re
turned the verdict of suicide. When
the police showed themselves reluc
tant to prosecute the widow, Kasz
marek swore out a warrant against
