London, Dec. 8. It is reported that
Mrs. Ida M. French, daughter of Rob
ert J. Wynne, former American post
master general, will return to the
Washington, home of .her parents.
Mrs. French has jusf beenldivorced
from Capt. Hugh Ronald French of
the Yorkshire regiment and formerly
of the Seventh dragoon guards.
Mrs. French testified that her hus
band had beaten her on several oc
casions and had dragged her about
her room because she refused to get
up at 4 or 5 o'clock in the morning
to entertain his boon companions.

lying on a rug in front of the fire, she
THE NOTO MURDER CASE
Four men and Mrs. Lina Musso are
under police surveillance in the case
of Peter Noto. The dead man was a
cousin of Airs. Musso and was spoken
of as the "other man" in the trial
for the murder of her husband, Peter
It is believed that Mrs. Musso went
into her home at 1027 Larrabee street
and that Noto stood on the curb wait
ing for her to reappear, when his
murderers shot him from behind.
Noto was sought by the police
when it was shown that he was a fre
quent visitor at the Musso home. He
is known to have been corresponding
with Mrs. Mussa since her acquittal.
"They are after me," Noto said
then. "But I am prepared for them."
He was 28 years old and formerly
a saloonkeeper in this city.
