The fly swatting season is past. So
men of science have just vented their
wrath upon another household in

bug. Dr. J. Walling Beveridge, before the
conference on safety and sanitation,
in New York, has denounced scath
ingly this minute creature, accusing
him of carrying concealed weapons
on his small person and also innum
erable germs inimicable to man.
Germs of leprosy, germs of spinal
menipgitis, germs of tubercular in
