4-YEAR-OLD AQUATIC MARVEL
AND MOVIE ACTRESS

Ashdown; 4-year-rold swimmer is an
acquatic marvel. She is an expert at
plain and fancy swimming and high
and low diving; .
This baby began her career at 11
months old, when her mother toolr
her bathing for the first time. Prof.
Thos. Wilkinson of the Royal- Life
saving Society became interested in
her. He taught the baby to float be
fore she left the tank. In a few
months this infant had developed into
an expert. She now dives from a
height of 25 feet and her pet swim
ming stunts are '-'revolving" and
"marching" in the water.
. "If the child keeps up her practice
in the tanks she will be the cham
pion swimmer of the world, some
day," says Winkirison.
