Wilson aaininistratlon is preparing to
do its biggest job yet for the people.
The indications are that the N'eW
lands river regulation bill will imme
diately follow the enactment of trust
legislation. This bill is the greatest
single conservation measure ever
proposed in Congress. It will make
the annual spring floods in the Ohio
and Mississippi things of the past.
It provides a total appropriation of
-$600,000,000, to be spread over a
periocl of 10 years', and to be spent
equitably aver the whole country-in
a comprehensive scheme for flood
prevention and' protection, water
storage, and the use of water in agri
culture and for the protection of
